How to clear the clipboard

Copying new text or an image replaces the current clipboard contents, but does not empty the clipboard.

Our free Clear Clipboard utility empties the current Windows clipboard in one click.

Clipdiary clipboard manager also lets you empty it:

• Press Ctrl + D to open Clipdiary.
• Select Clip -> Empty Windows Clipboard.

This clears the current clipboard contents, not the history already saved by Clipdiary. To delete saved clips, clear the history separately.
