How to recover clipboard history

You can recover an earlier clipboard item only if it was saved before being overwritten. Windows 10 and 11 offer a limited history through Win + V when clipboard history is enabled.

For long-term storage, use Clipdiary clipboard manager. It records copied text, images, HTML, and file lists while it is running.

To recover a saved clip:

• Press Ctrl + D to open Clipdiary.
• Select the item and press Enter to paste it into the target application.
• Or right-click it and choose Copy to Clipboard.

Clipdiary cannot restore data that was overwritten before the program started saving it.
