Get Plain Text runs and removes unwanted formatting from the clipboard in less than a second. So you can paste unformatted text to any application!

Let's say, for example, you copy the text from the webpage, paste it into the editor and get the text that preserves the unwanted formatting of the original, including fonts, font sizes and colors. Looks familiar?

Some editors have a special feature, called 'Special paste', which lets you paste clean text without any formatting. Regrettable, not all of them have it. In fact, there are lots of programs that do not have this simple but useful feature. Advanced clipboard managers can remove formatting and paste plain text. But if you do not use some clipboard extender like this, then this problem is topical for you.

Get Plain Text is a freeware solution to this problem. Get Plain Text can do only one operation but does it like no other :) Every time you run it, the utility changes the content of the clipboard, removing any text formatting, including fonts, sizes, colors, embedded images but leaves the main thing - plain text.

Get Plain Text is a small and quick clipboard extender. Taking only 70 Kb of the disk space, Get Plain Text runs and removes unwanted formatting from the clipboard in less than a second. Once the job is done, the program closes automatically. It does not bother you with windows, prompt dialogs, or any other bells and whistles. Get Plain Text does its job silently and keeps you focused on your work. The advantage of this solution is that it does not add an icon to the system tray and does not consume memory when you use it.

Also, we recommend Clipboard Manager for keeping the Clipboard History as a good addition for Flashpaste.
